The lovely Miss Dana Fisher’s fabulous retro home.  Here are some inspiring images from her house that takes you to a different time, yet still feels modern and comfortable.  The swanky coolness of the home saturates every room of the house.  The details and charms of the home are completely mesmerizing and you end up just wanting to plop on the couch and stay while. She has the most amazing work space I have ever seen; where she creates some of the most beautiful jewelry and accessories I have ever seen! Here is one of, if not my favorite designer, the incredible Kelly Wearstler.  She was introduced to me through a dear friend who is rediculously talented, Hallie Henley, now Hallie Sims!!! Hallie is a one of a kind designer and friend now located in Houston, Texas. I recently attended Hallie’s wedding and I cannot even convey how fabulous it was! Her dress was the most incredible silk with a 40’s flare….and lets not forget those red lips! My friend Katie (Birdie) did the flowers and I was so proud of her. They were truly pieces of art at every table.  The reception was complete with fried chicken and macaroni and cheese! So Hallie and so southern! Hallie is one of those people that just inspire you by being around her…by stepping into her world.  I was truly inspired by her wedding and wanted to pay tribute to a person who helped me step into my design style….actually she rescued me from fatally decorating my room terribly when we lived together!!! Thanks Halster! And thank you to Kelly Wearstler for always leaving me flabbergasted and inspired to create beautiful spaces.  Kelly Wearstler has given the world a little slice of heaven by publishing her work in three wonderful books.

My favorite products of the moment! Tonic, Thickening Spray, Sumo Tech, and Brilliatine! Seriously I am in love with these products right now.  Tonic is just so moisturizing and smells so wonderful :tea tree and peppermint = refreshing! Then layer on the thickening spray for that big hair that we all know I love. A cocktail of sumo tech and brilliantine = best thing ever.  Sumo tech is a fabulous creamy waxy goodness that adds insane texture and love to any cut! Mixing the brilliantine with it adds a silkiness that takes away frizz, gives an amazing shine and also smells delightful.

A client of mine is a model and asked me to do her hair for a photo shoot to update her portfolio! This was a really fun shoot! We had five different looks and did her hair outside with no mirrors or flat irons! Just a brush and some bobbie pins! I think she is just gorgeous and I love the images! Lindsey, from our shop: Lollie’s Beauty Bar, did the make-up for the shoot! And Birdie clothed the shoot! A real sweet Norman team! The photographer is Justin Voight, located in OKC! 

Here is a good friend of ours, Stephen! He wanted a big cut! It was so crazy!! He has awesome curly hair that is really fun to play with and practice different cutting techniques! He let me play around for an hour and a half!!! Thanks Stephen! Hope you like your new post grad look!

Our Bumble and Bumble class was so amazing! I learned so much and feel very inspired to do beautiful and creative hair! The stylist, Andrea, was so talented and so adorable! She taught us two hair cuts: a mid-length bob (cut with a razor only) and a long layered scissor cut! So awesome! My friend Lane, was the long layered cut and she just looks fabulous! It was so fun and challenging to watch someone else in their craft and how they see hair. We also got education on Bumble and Bumble products and how we can go to NYC and attend B&B University! So exciting! I am very inspired and motivated to get there!

Here are some amazing images from Bumble and Bumble’s website! We are a Bumble and Bumble focus salon and I am in love with this company! The product is amazing and truly gives you the results you need! AND I love how they see hair! I love their graphics and photo campaigns! So inspiring!  This week is a big week!  We are having a Bumble and Bumble stylist from NEW YORK CITY come to our little shop and give us a cutting class!!! Not only a cutting class, but a RAZOR cutting class! Which I am thrilled about! So here is a little B&B love!
